The BIM system maintainer is responsible for the daily upkeep of the BIM platform, including the storage system, BIM database, and component resource database. This includes managing system users and permissions, performing backups, and maintaining project-specific environmental resources. Additionally, they collect and organize component resource data, models, drawings, documents, and other project delivery materials from various projects and departments. They also review these materials according to established standards and submit reports detailing the review status.
The BIM data administrator organizes component resource data in a structured format and imports it into the component library, ensuring efficient data retrieval. They maintain the component library resources to keep them consistent, up-to-date, and accessible. Furthermore, they summarize and extract data for use by other system applications.
