Currently, numerous objectives guide the establishment of nationwide BIM standards. A major focus is enhancing BIM’s business functionalities to efficiently collect, utilize, and maintain equipment information. Initially implemented through small-scale pilot projects, BIM has now gained global traction. It is a versatile technology applicable across all phases of a project lifecycle, encompassing all facility-related information required by stakeholders.
Building-related companies in many countries are actively developing their own BIM standards to keep pace with industry demands.
