The Pescador 14 Residence is situated in a residential neighborhood in southern Cancun. The site is tightly constrained by neighboring structures, yet it offers a unique green space. Our goal was to capture views of this lush landscape from every angle of the building while maintaining the residents’ privacy.

The residence is designed as a solid block with strategic perforations. These openings create shifts between the facade, terraces, balconies, and courtyards, adding dynamic spatial relationships.

The building’s outline opens toward the adjacent park, connecting interior and exterior spaces through transitional grey zones and grid-like structures. Inside, a double-height space functions as a unifying element, visually and functionally linking the two levels while enhancing the overall sense of openness.

A service corridor runs along the east facade, providing both natural light and ventilation, and acts as a buffer between the building and the property boundary.
The materials chosen for construction reflect the local traditions. Warm tones dominate the palette, featuring natural and colored bamboo joints, wood, washed concrete, and slate for masonry surfaces.
