Haibin Hui is an innovative multi-purpose development project that seamlessly integrates work, dining, entertainment, and leisure within the oasis of Hong Kong’s industrial zone. It is designed to foster a healthy and vibrant working environment, inspired by the concept of natural greenery.
The ground floor houses an office lobby and retail spaces, which extend into the first and second floors. The third floor features a large green terrace with uniquely designed circular openings that visually connect and unify the different functional areas. These openings also support a vertical planting system with automatic irrigation and lighting, creating a striking vertical green structure.

A distinctive and impressive spiral staircase connects the 4,300-square-meter garden terrace spanning the second and third floors. This feature supports the project’s compliance with international WELL certification standards, addressing air quality, water, nutrition, light, fitness, comfort, and overall mental well-being.
Additionally, the terrace includes a jogging track, providing a continuously improving healthy workspace for people transitioning from rigid industrial environments.

Thanks to its outstanding use of green and environmentally friendly technologies, the Haibin Hui project is on track to receive prestigious certifications, including the Platinum Level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), Platinum Level BEAM Plus certification from the Hong Kong Green Building Council, and the Gold Level WELL Health Building certification (currently postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

The “green” concept at Haibin Hui is primarily expressed through these key features:
- Extensive planting supported by an automatic irrigation system. Floor slabs are opened to create vertical green columns that connect different levels.
- Passive solar design paired with shading devices to reduce heat gain, while fully open storefronts maximize natural light indoors.
- Integration of recycling bins, healthy vending machines, leisure platforms, jogging trails, and smart information systems to meet the highest WELL certification standards.
- Visual and physical connectivity between the office reception area and retail mall through floor openings, promoting a balanced work-rest-play lifestyle.

The natural greenery beautifully blends the interior spaces with the seaside exterior, blurring the boundaries between architecture and nature.
Those working here enjoy a healthy and comfortable environment where all their needs can be met without leaving the premises. The Haibin Hui project, created by CL3 Architects, epitomizes a new and avant-garde mixed-use functional space.
