This charming small house is situated in the eastern suburbs of Attica, in Artemis, positioned on the third row from the Aegean coast. Designed to meet the needs of a young, small family, it also responds thoughtfully to the surrounding environment.
The design redefines the essence of a transient and flexible coastal lifestyle by creating comfortable, high-quality indoor and outdoor spaces. The house opens its silhouette to the sea, while carefully protecting the residents’ privacy from neighboring views.

Built on a foundation of concrete and terrazzo, this two-story structure is divided into two volumes with distinct spatial capacities and materials, set perpendicular to each other.
The white, floating sloped roof frames an open, light-filled space with overhangs, enhancing the indoor-outdoor living experience within the garden enclosure. On the upper level, two bedrooms with high ceilings and a bathroom are arranged around a stairwell and study area.
One side of the partition wall features a protected terrace that serves as an outdoor “room,” extending from the exterior toward the stairwell. The bedrooms offer access to two private loggias with full-height open blinds, while the central bathroom overlooks the sea beyond the nearby olive grove.

From a construction standpoint, this house features a composite structure designed to minimize its footprint on a small site.
The basement and ground floor are reinforced concrete, with the ground floor broken down into minimal building elements: two plain concrete shear walls and four slender steel columns. This approach maximizes spatial flexibility and visual connection with the garden.
The second-floor slab is supported by two cantilevered steel beams. The upper volume and sloped roof are constructed with lightweight steel structures.
