Notice on Adding Third Level Professional Registration and Examination for the 15th National BIM Skill Level Examination

Registration and Training Points

To implement the directives from the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on further strengthening talent development, and to follow the central leadership’s instructions from the National Vocational Education Work Conference to accelerate vocational education, we aim to cultivate a high-skilled talent pool. Our goal is to nurture diverse talents, preserve technical skills, and promote employment and entrepreneurship.

In partnership with the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Chinese Society of Graphic Arts will conduct the evaluation for the National BIM Skill Level Examination. The 15th edition of this examination will introduce three new professional exams at Level 3: Architectural Design, Building Equipment Design, and Building Construction Design.

The registration period will be open from November 11th to November 21st. This exam cycle will implement a trial evaluation process consisting of preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation, and a final defense.

Examination Details

The 15th National BIM Skill Level Examination will be conducted paperlessly, divided into two stages: the examination and the defense.

• Date: December 14th (Saturday)
• Duration: 360 minutes (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

After the re-evaluation phase, qualified candidates will be notified of the defense’s time and location.

Examination Centers and Registration

There are four examination centers available, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. Each center accommodates up to 50 candidates.

Candidates must register and pay the fees online via the official website of the Chinese Society of Graphic Sciences. Please refer to the attached registration process for detailed instructions.

Certificates Awarded

Successful candidates will receive two certificates:

• The Training Certificate issued by the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security
• The National BIM Skill Level Examination Certificate issued by the Chinese Society of Graphic Design

Application requirements are outlined in the BIM Skill Level Assessment Outline. To ensure smooth evaluation, instructors at all registration and training centers are strongly encouraged to thoroughly study this outline. Sample exams and previous test questions are provided as reference materials for training centers.

Fees and Payment

The registration fee includes the examination registration fee, service fee, and administrative management fee. According to local pricing policies, the total fee must not exceed 350 yuan per person (excluding training and material costs). Of this, 200 yuan per candidate will be submitted to the Office of the National BIM Skill Level Evaluation Work Guidance Committee.

Full payment must be made at the time of registration.

Admission Ticket and Examination Rules

Candidates can independently print their National CAD/BIM Skill Level Examination Admission Ticket through the registration platform.

Any candidate caught cheating or disrupting the examination will be banned from taking the exam for one to two years, depending on the severity of the misconduct.

Special Policies

Students from remote western regions who face economic hardship are eligible for a 50% discount on the registration fee upon submission of a valid poverty certificate, which will be archived at the exam center.

Rights and Interpretation

The Chinese Society of Graphic Design and the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security reserve the right of final interpretation of all evaluation procedures related to the National BIM Skill Level Examination.

Registration Guidelines

1. Candidates must log in to their member account on the Skill Level Exam website to complete registration.
2. Photo requirements: 20-40 KB in size; dimensions 250 × 350 pixels; white background; bareheaded clear headshot taken by a professional photo studio; photo file named with the candidate’s ID number in JPG format.
3. Candidates must bring their own computers equipped with the necessary software for the exam.
4. Individuals found guilty of cheating in the 13th or 14th examinations are prohibited from registering for this exam.
5. For remote western exam centers, impoverished students may apply for a 50% registration fee discount by providing a valid poverty certificate.
