The project is situated in Xinjing Town, Changning District, Shanghai, located in the northwest corner of the city within the core area of the airport economic park. It covers Plots 2 and 3 of Block 224 in Xinjing Town, Changning District. The site is bordered by Fuquan Road to the east, Beizhai Road Green Belt to the south, Xiehe Road to the west, and Tongxie Road to the north, with elevations designated as 13-1 and 13-2.

As a multinational Hong Kong-funded enterprise with four listed companies, it is a key chemical supplier in China. The group operates over 60 investment and production facilities across mainland China, employing more than 50,000 people. In 2009, its revenue reached HKD 23.7 billion, with HKD 17 billion earned in the first half of 2010. It is projected that annual revenue will exceed HKD 30 billion.
- In recent years, Hong Kong Jiantao Chemical Group has invested nearly 10 billion yuan in residential and central business district urban complexes across China, covering a total construction area exceeding 3 million square meters.
- The main structure of Shanghai Jiantao Commercial Plaza was scheduled to be topped out by June 2014, with completion expected by the end of December 2015.
