On March 30th, the party branch of the Chongqing Guizhou Expressway project held a democratic life meeting for party members and cadres, along with an organizational life meeting for the party branch. Ren Hongke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the company, attended the meeting. Fourteen project team members and all party members were present. The meeting was chaired by Project Manager Zhang Guicang.
The meeting focused on strengthening the foundation of innovative theories, firmly establishing the “Four Consciousnesses,” enhancing the “Four Confidences,” and resolutely achieving the “Two Safeguards.” Attendees were encouraged to take responsibility boldly and implement the decisions and directives of the Party Central Committee and the group company with a pragmatic approach.
The project party branch secretary led the team in a comparative inspection. Team members reviewed the company’s management plan and targets, reflecting on their individual realities. They conducted self-criticisms one by one, addressing aspects such as ideology, politics, mental state, and work style, while also engaging in serious and earnest mutual criticism.
In his commentary, Ren Hongke praised the meeting for its thorough preparation, meticulous work, standardized procedures, and clear themes. He highlighted the courage shown in self-criticism, the commitment to seeking truth from facts, and the frankness in exposing weaknesses and shortcomings. He emphasized that this candid and constructive criticism is essential for genuine progress.
Ren described the meeting as having a “spicy taste,” reflecting the sincere and impactful nature of the organizational life meeting and democratic life session. He noted that the process truly achieved the intended effect, playing a vital role in “learning from past experiences to avoid future mistakes,” and in diagnosing and remedying problems.
Looking ahead, Ren outlined key requirements: first, to strengthen learning, enhance quality, and continuously improve comprehensive management capabilities; second, to effectively reinforce the construction of the “two” leadership teams; third, to carry out problem rectification strictly and practically; fourth, to shoulder the “two responsibilities” of comprehensive and strict party governance; fifth, to maintain serious political life within the party; sixth, to strengthen prevention of project integrity risks and promote integrity and self-discipline; and finally, to focus efforts and advance various tasks.
During this period, Ren Hongke also delivered a vivid party lecture titled “Never Forget Our Original Intention, Keep Moving Forward, and Always Remember Where We Come From” to all party members and cadres. The party branch conducted evaluations of all party members and the leadership team.
