Architecture gives people their homes, and through doors and windows, they connect with the world outside. The CIVRO image exhibition hall is situated in a former factory building in Shanghai, where CROX has designed a conceptual space filled with endless framed views.

The design aims to integrate display functions into the existing old architectural space. The architects sought to highlight the original charm with minimal intervention, using simple lines to infuse life and meaning. These lines serve as footprints along life’s journey, weaving through various spaces and extending into infinite frames.

Within the CIVRO exhibition hall, these “lines” move freely inside and outside the space, creating countless spatial compositions. This results in a pattern that is both open and flexible, adapting seamlessly to different functional scenarios.

The CIVRO flagship (BIM) store is housed in a red brick warehouse set amidst green surroundings. Dynamic white frames outline both elegance and personality. Flowing lines form various seating areas in the courtyard and define the entrance structure of the main building. These lines continue inside, connecting spaces of varying sizes and seamlessly integrating architecture, interior design, and landscape into a cohesive spatial sequence.

This renovation approach is innovative, redefining the logic of repurposing old buildings in Shanghai. By using CIVRO aluminum frame products as the primary building material, the structure itself shapes the space while fulfilling display functions, achieving a balance between practicality and aesthetics.

Inside the exhibition hall, the reception area features a white aluminum frame structure resembling a box that has been opened, serving as a focal point. The interior divides into two distinct spaces: the main product exhibition hall on the east side, where white frames create walls and form exhibition rooms of various sizes, and the conference and social hall on the west side. The ceiling’s framed design adjusts to accommodate different activities such as gatherings, exhibitions, and events.

The design’s overall white palette, combined with light and shadow, creates a mysterious and expansive framed scenery. The interplay between original columns and walls forms interactive, interlocking relationships, breaking away from traditional exhibition hall formats and fostering a dynamic connection between people and space.

A picture captures a scene. In life, we move through spaces and freeze moments with our eyes. Doors and windows serve as the eyes of a building, communicating with the outside world. With infinite frameworks, CROX creates countless unique landscapes.
