In 2011, one of Denmark’s most iconic cultural venues was destroyed by fire. Since 1938, K.B. Hall has been a central hub for major concerts and events in Copenhagen. The hall is now being reimagined through modern architecture, inspired by three core principles: gable, circular, and arched forms.

The “mountain wall” is constructed of glass, inviting natural light into the hall and creating a seamless connection between the interior and its surroundings. This glass facade is part of the Copenhagen City Space Tour, welcoming visitors as they enter the lobby and reach the foyer. On the first floor, the bar and lounge are elegantly situated beneath the arch of the music hall.

First Floor Plan
The arch is a dominant, unified structure that captures the iconic silhouette of K.B. Hall. Inside, balconies, railings, bars, and fixtures are designed with historical references to the original hall. The new design incorporates flexible architecture, advanced acoustics, and modern technology to meet the demands of today’s event venues.
