Therefore, during the design process, professionals must align BIM model requirements with the various stages of architectural development to ensure consistency between component depth and model detail.

During the classification of BIM model levels, professionals should first organize the integrated model architecture and clarify the resource data, specialized model objects, and family model objects. The resource data must adhere to information description standards and accurately reflect the relationships between model objects. Family model objects, essential throughout different phases of the construction lifecycle, consist of two parts: specialized model resource information and common information. These elements comprehensively represent the attributes and relationships among various models.
For specialized model objects, careful attention must be paid to changes within the model system during integration. The goal is to build a comprehensive model that aligns with the entire project lifecycle. Resource data should encompass geometric details, cost estimates, and material specifications. Family model objects typically include relational elements, shared components, and attribute data.
When defining BIM model depth levels, the classification generally corresponds to different design disciplines, such as architectural, equipment, and structural categories. Design teams should further refine these specialty depth levels according to their specific workflows. It is crucial that each successive level incorporates the features of the previous one to maintain clear logical connections across the models.
