BIM Technology Explained: Key Features and Its Impact on Information Sharing

Building Information Modeling (BIM) encompasses a comprehensive information model that integrates both engineering and business data throughout every stage of a project’s lifecycle. 1. It also resolves “information gaps” and “information silos” across different stages, participants, and disciplines. By using a unified information platform, all parties can extract data efficiently, reducing duplicate input and avoiding redundancy, ambiguity, and errors.
