Guanglianda BIM construction site layout software is a lightweight tool specifically designed for construction site planning. Its key advantages are faster drafting, more rational planning, and visually appealing outputs. Users can quickly generate models by importing files in formats such as CAD and GCL. During the drafting process, relevant graphic components can be selected from an embedded BIM model database, allowing temporary facilities to be arranged easily by dragging with the mouse.

All components within the BIM model database are either vector or high-definition models, ensuring the construction site layout appears realistic and visually attractive. The software includes a legality check feature that prevents conflicts in the placement of temporary facilities. Intelligent layout tools for temporary water and electricity pipelines significantly reduce the workload for workers. Once the BIM model for the site layout is complete, the software offers a site walkthrough function, enabling detailed inspection of the layout. Additionally, it provides a powerful automatic quantity generation feature, offering accurate data for settlement purposes and boosting staff efficiency.
Revit, a robust BIM software, also supports site planning. Within its volume and site module, Revit offers various site drawing and calculation tools. For drafting, it can import 3D contour lines in DWG, DXF, or DGN formats, analyze this 3D contour data, place elevation points along the contour lines, and automatically generate terrain surfaces. Terrain materials can be applied to make the terrain display more realistic. After drawing the terrain surface, the building red line location can be defined by editing sketches and tables, further establishing the project boundary. The software supports splitting and merging surfaces, allowing for detailed terrain representation.
Within the building red line boundary, comprehensive design for building areas, roads, parking lots, and landscaping can be carried out, with corresponding components selected to complete the site layout. On the calculation side, Revit offers tools to calculate construction land area and earthwork volume needed for site leveling, with results exportable to Excel. Construction land area is based on the building red line, while earthwork volume is determined through terrain drawing and new elevation point settings. Supported by an extensive temporary facility library, Revit can also generate BIM models for construction site layouts effectively.
