First, it is essential to conduct thorough quality inspections of construction site operations. This includes reviewing the handover of construction processes and inspecting concealed work to ensure the protection of finished products. During these inspections, if any quality issues arise, appropriate corrective measures should be implemented promptly. Lastly, if quality problems are found to result from inadequate control of human behavior, accountability should be assigned to the responsible individuals.

Here is an overview of the practical application of BIM technology in quality management:
(1) On-site Quality Monitoring Implementation Plan
The foundational data model for the Internet is the building information model (BIM), which seamlessly integrates with quality management workflows. Within the quality management platform, relevant construction engineering information can be effectively shared. By leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) technology, each building and its corresponding model are connected, allowing for the input, output, and management of data for every structure. This means each building on the information management platform has a unique and identifiable “digital identity.” Using mobile applications, construction teams can organize quality management information and collaborate efficiently on related data.
(2) Software Features
Lightweight BIM models enable users to create and update models through plugins, adjusting them according to project progress. Information platforms synchronize dimensions, colors, shapes, and other details with real-time construction data, facilitating seamless information sharing. Additionally, non-sensory data collection is supported by generating QR codes that record drawing information, construction status, and quality conditions associated with building ID numbers, either for batches or individual components. These QR codes can be printed in bulk, allowing handheld scanning devices on site to quickly locate component statuses within the model. This ensures real-world construction status is aligned with the BIM model, simplifying subsequent analysis and decision-making.
