There are several types of analysis software built on BIM models, including the following:

1. Sustainable Analysis Software: In construction projects, sustainable analysis involves creating a 3D model using BIM software to evaluate sustainability aspects. This type of analysis is commonly applied to green building projects. It covers various areas such as meteorological parameter analysis, wind field studies, energy consumption evaluation, optimization of enclosure structures, noise analysis, and improvement. Popular tools for sustainable analysis include Ecotect, IES (with components like ApacheLoads, ApacheSim, SunCast, RadianceIES), and Green Building Studio.
2. Structural Analysis Software: With the rise of high-rise and super high-rise buildings, alongside advances in computing, structural analysis software has become essential. Structural analysis plays a critical role during the architectural design phase, and there is a strong two-way integration between structural analysis software and core BIM modeling tools. Widely used structural analysis programs include ANSYS, Robot Structural Analysis, PKPM, ETABS, and MIDAS.
3. BIM Model Comprehensive Clash Detection Software: Construction projects involve multiple stakeholders and disciplines, each designing according to their own specifications. When these designs are combined, clashes are inevitable. Therefore, comprehensive clash detection within BIM models is crucial. Common software for this purpose includes ModelChecker, Autodesk Navisworks, and Bentley ProjectWise.
