CATIA boasts powerful 3D modeling capabilities and is widely applied in industries such as aerospace, machinery, shipbuilding, and energy—fields that demand extremely precise surface modeling. As a result, CATIA is more than capable of handling 3D architectural design. However, the software does have some drawbacks, particularly its lack of integrated engineering information functions, as outlined below:

2) Integrating additional information related to the model into databases is challenging and often requires support from secondary development.
3) The software is costly, with high initial investment and implementation expenses, which may reduce its economic viability for lower-budget projects.
4) Since the platform is well-established in manufacturing, architects may find its user interface and professional terminology unfamiliar and less intuitive.
