The first step in implementing a BIM quality control system is to establish a core BIM model. This foundational step is essential for effectively applying BIM technology in construction projects.

During the design phase, the most commonly used software is the Revit series from Euct Corporation. Its primary advantage lies in parameterized construction drawing design, which is reflected in the parameterized architectural structure model elements and flexible model modification capabilities. Using Revit’s built-in custom families, building components can be interconnected during the modeling process. This means that once the construction phase begins, the BIM model created during design can be directly and comprehensively utilized, allowing detailed engineering quality information to be tracked within the model.
The Revit platform offers several specialized software tools including Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, and Revit Structure, which are respectively used for architecture, equipment, and structural engineering. However, in the construction phase, there are relatively few products from Oukete Company that align well with the actual conditions in China. Although BIM-related software from various countries offers powerful features and user-friendly interfaces, they tend to be highly specialized and require advanced hardware. This makes them challenging to deploy on large-scale construction projects, and localization issues often present significant obstacles.
In comparison, localized BIM software in China better matches the specific needs of the national construction industry. Currently, many Chinese construction companies research and apply the Luban BIM series developed by Luban Company. This software has proven effective in engineering practice and is widely recognized within the industry. The core strength of the Luban BIM solution lies in its application during the construction stage of building projects. In recent years, Luban Company has made significant advancements in BIM implementation theory, case studies, cloud computing, and big data technology.
