Currently, the leading BIM software in China includes the Autodesk series, Luban series, and Guanglianda series, with Autodesk being the most widely adopted. BIM software is generally categorized into design modeling, construction management, and other specialized applications.
Design modeling software primarily consists of Revit and Tekla. Revit is widely used for architectural design, structural design, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) modeling, whereas Tekla specializes in steel structure modeling. For construction management, Navisworks is the main software, offering functionalities such as clash detection, walkthroughs, and construction simulation. Other software like 3ds Max is mainly utilized for animation production.

Autodesk Navisworks is a suite of construction project management tools developed by Autodesk, comprising three main software products. Among them, Navisworks Manage stands out as a comprehensive review platform for analysis, simulation, and project information exchange. Key features of Navisworks Manage include:
1. 4D Project Simulation
Navisworks enables importing NWC model files generated by Revit, integrating models created in various software, and incorporating project schedules from management tools. This allows users to link 3D models with construction timelines to create 4D simulations.
2. Real-time Navigation of Large 3D Models
Unlike most 3D simulation software that only supports predefined path walkthroughs, Navisworks provides smooth real-time navigation through models of any size. This capability allows engineers to freely explore the internal environment of complex models.
3. Clash Detection
Navisworks supports both spatial and temporal clash detection. By configuring advanced collision rules, it enhances the accuracy and thoroughness of clash analysis to identify potential conflicts.
