The future development of computer-aided architectural design based on BIM is outlined as follows:

2. Train information management professionals with a background in architectural design. These individuals will support project management, handle the transmission of design information at various stages, and facilitate collaboration across different fields.
3. Create APIs that address the specific needs of designers and fill any gaps in current BIM software functionalities.
4. Use ICF as a cross-disciplinary platform for exchanging design information. This involves establishing common formats and interoperability protocols to support collaborative design information exchange, including IDM (Information Delivery Manual) and MVD (Model View Definition).
5. Build a team collaboration platform for project management and communication. This networked platform will enhance team cooperation through messaging, discussions, file sharing, information exchange, and will help drive design decisions and project progress.
