The Greenland Canal project is situated in the southwest district of Yangzhou City, within the North Park area of the Hanjiang Economic Development Zone. The four designated sites span from Jinxin Hotel and Runyang Road in the east, to Jiangyang West Road in the north, and Jian’an Road and Xiangyuan Road in the west.

The planning approach follows the concept of “one axis, one center, two zones, and multiple nodes,” creating a harmonious blend of commercial and business spaces. This structure reflects a clear and logical spatial layout, seamlessly integrating with the city and neighboring businesses.

The local block lies outside Yangzhou’s historic city center and lacks significant historical or cultural heritage. Additionally, the surrounding environment does not offer strong natural ecological features. To address this, the design introduces the concept of “Green Nest,” focusing on green ecology and experiential consumption.
Unlike traditional small-scale commercial clusters, Green Nest serves both as a commercial hub and a prominent urban landscape. It embodies a modern vision of healthy living and ecological urbanism. Architectural techniques such as undulating green roofs, interconnected platforms, innovative surface forms, and engaging indoor and outdoor commercial spaces create a landmark that reflects contemporary urban life.
