The detailed urban design plan for Nantong CBD is rooted in government-controlled planning. It draws inspiration from the abstract shape of the Nantong Kite, while incorporating strengths from various other plans. The design injects the dynamic energy of New York’s Wall Street, the charm and warmth of European small towns, and the experience of Tokyo’s multi-directional commercial streets both above and below ground.
This plan places great emphasis on the architectural and urban design value of the planned river and central park. An oval-shaped pedestrian system connects the south and north riverbanks, defining two distinct types of waterfront plazas.
The proposal package includes comprehensive materials such as aerial views, renderings, elevation views, section views, design descriptions, analysis diagrams, schematic diagrams, and more, totaling 171 pages.
