Xishuangbanna is a unique oasis along the Tropic of Cancer desert belt, home to China’s largest tropical primitive rainforest park and one of the few animal and plant gene banks remaining on Earth. With a forest coverage rate of 63.2% and over 8 million acres of tropical rainforest, it is the best-preserved rainforest near the Tropic of Cancer globally. This region is renowned as the “Animal Kingdom,” “Plant Kingdom,” and a “Species Gene Inventory.”

Adopting the development philosophy of being “most ethnic, most primitive ecological, most natural, and most harmonious,” Gaozhuang West Shuangjing has created an internationally styled, fashionable, and modern complex. This project not only revives the thriving atmosphere of ancient times but also redefines Xishuangbanna’s cultural center, setting a vibrant new stage for life.

The project is situated at the westernmost end of Shuangjing West in Gaozhuang, occupying a narrow site of approximately 28,000 square meters. It features three buildings — two podiums and one tower — aligned in a straight line and rising from the ground, offering sweeping views of Gaozhuang and the Lancang Mekong River.

The design includes two high-rise buildings and one super high-rise tower inspired by Banna’s mascot—the peacock. The central tower reaches 199.9 meters, with the entire development tailored to cultural and tourism real estate, combining aesthetic and functional goals.

The architectural design and facade revolve around three core principles: ethnicity, economy, and uniqueness.

Ethnicity: In Dai culture, the peacock is revered as the kindest, smartest bird, symbolizing freedom, peace, auspiciousness, and happiness. The architectural design incorporates the peacock motif, depicting beautifully raised tails in a dance that tells the most beautiful and romantic love story of the gentle Dai people.

Economy: The building’s curved form is created with cast-in-place concrete beams. The facade texture features simple black and white lines on each balcony beam, abstractly representing the feathers of four peacocks. This design choice balances aesthetics with cost efficiency.

Uniqueness: While the building’s exterior is rooted in concrete, the design strives for a “similar but not identical” style. Smooth, modern feather lines and abstract beauty evoke blooming flowers and dancing peacocks, harmoniously blending with the ancient village nearby, creating a distinctive Dai cultural urban totem.

As night falls, the peacock’s fan full of feathers lights up brilliantly, illuminating the night sky of Xishuangbanna with stunning brilliance.

The complex houses international vacation apartments, boutique villas, and large commercial and entertainment centers. The super high-rise tower features a rooftop infinity pool, a luxury leisure and fitness club, a top-tier starry sky bar, and an observation deck offering panoramic views of Jinghong City and the surrounding Gaoxi scenery.

The super high-rise building is zoned with commercial podiums and high-rise apartment towers. The high-rise sections include international vacation apartments, a rooftop infinity pool, a premium leisure and fitness club, and a starry sky bar at the top, along with Jinghong’s highest observation platform.
Flowing shapes and curves define the roof structure, allowing sunlight to pour through glass windows, creating a spectacular ambiance that feels like being amidst the clouds.

The peacock’s tail spreads wide at the building’s entrance. The lobby’s grand design, from ceiling to back wall, resembles a peacock displaying its vibrant feathers, warmly welcoming visitors.

The building’s rich texture and complex structural features breathe life into the Peacock Tower, which stands proudly in Xishuangbanna, showcasing its unique architectural charm.
