To achieve a playful minimalism, the design removes vertical traffic flow from the interior by intersecting two staircases—one enclosed and one open. This approach is not merely aesthetic; it economically leverages customer feedback as a foundation for the design. The streamlined facade plays a vital role, simplifying the overall visual perception with its vertical repetition and cannot be omitted from the project.

White serves as the primary theme throughout the project. It acts as an integrator, using this light color to paint the facade with the sun as the main actor, transforming the building into a living oil painting where light and shadow continuously evolve throughout the day.

The architectural layout is straightforward: social spaces occupy the ground floor and rooftop, while two bedrooms are stacked vertically on the first floor. A private area is accessible via a corridor on the same level, maintaining clear separation between public and private zones.

The staircases not only enhance visual privacy but also guide visitor flow, allowing access to the private section of the living unit through the rooftop.

Each unit features a backyard and a two-car parking space, soon to be shaded by the foliage of nearby trees.

This project initially focused on budget constraints but gradually shifted to emphasize intimacy, privacy, harmony, and curiosity. By balancing a typical design process with affordability, the result is a sincere project that unites functionality and aesthetics, as well as complexity and simplicity, to create Sonata.
